  1.                              STARTUP INSTRUCTIONS
  2.                                   FOR AM-TAX
  3.  
  4.                   (Tax Preparation Software for 1987 Tax Year)
  5.  
  6.  
  7.     These instructions assume you have two floppy diskette drives.  If not,
  8.     adjust the instructions where necessary.
  9.  
  10.  
  11.        STEP ONE - BACKUP THE AM-TAX PROGRAM DISKETTE
  12.  
  13.          1.  Insert the AM-TAX program diskette into drive A.
  14.          2.  Insert a blank, formatted diskette into drive B.
  15.          3.  Then, at the DOS A> prompt, enter
  16.  
  17.                        A>COPY *.* B:
  18.  
  19.  
  20.        STEP TWO - PRINT THE DOCUMENTATION
  21.  
  22.          1.  Insert AM-TAX program diskette into drive A.
  23.          2.  Align 8 1/2 x 11 inch paper in your printer.
  24.          3.  Turn on the printer.
  25.          4.  Then, at the DOS A> prompt, enter:

  27.                        A>COPY AMTAX.DOC PRN
  28.  
  29.          5.  Be sure to read the documentation thoroughly.

  32.        STEP THREE - STARTING AM-TAX
  33.  
  34.          1.  Insert your AM-TAX program diskette into drive A.
  35.          2.  Insert a blank, formatted work diskette into drive B.  This is
  36.              where you will save your tax returns.
  37.          3.  Then, at the DOS A> prompt, enter:

  39.                        A>TAX87
  40.  
  41.          4.  At the main menu, go to option 4 and set your system parameters.
